The sad thing is that the balance team - remember them? - have no clue why people hate Sombra and their rework for OW2 just made her 10x worse to play against. I have a certain image in my head about the type of ppl that play sombra and, by no coincidence, one of the top Sombra players (the only streamer I know that plays her) fits that image perfectly.
Sombra should write a “how to be a effective coward 101”. It shouldn’t get enough value to be a strategy but way too often it does. Come back, hack and TP and round we go again. Some Sombras just hack and TP and leave it for their team to kill you. And people think that’s a high skill hero. 500 dps, the turret teleporting Sym and of course, Sombra, who disables you but also holds the actual get out of jail free card that needs no game sense at all compared to recall or dash. Difference being, these are the “switch to” heroes for bad players who need to use special gimmicky crutch in hope of doing something. I see people saying heroes like Soldier/Cowboy are the “switch to them when you’re losing” heroes…well guess what, so are heroes like Bastion, Sombra or even Symmetra in some cases.
